How is it gonna keep me cool?

The bamboo fibers are full of tiny gaps that let your body heat escape instead of getting stuck under the covers. They pull sweat off your skin and let it evaporate quickly.

At 100 GSM, our sheets are woven from breathable, lightweight textiles. Thin enough to keep you cool and still give you that silky, luxurious hotel feel.

What does GSM mean?

GSM means grams per square meter and is the measurement for how thick the fabric is. Our sheets are 100 GSM (which is almost as thin as a napkin). Most sheets are 200 GSM which is the reason why they trap heat.

Which materials do you use?

Our sheets are made out of 100% viscose from organic bamboo.

Bamboo viscose is a semi-synthetic textile made from the cellulose of bamboo plants. It sits in a unique category: the raw material is 100% plant-based and natural and then processed into a silky-soft fabric.

What if I don't like the sheets?

You can test our sheets 30 days for free. If you don't like them for any reason, or if they don't keep you cool as promised, just send them back for a full refund.

How do I wash them?

Machine wash cold on delicate with like fabrics, tumble dry low. Avoid bleach. To prevent pilling, avoid fabric softener or dryer balls. To avoid wrinkles, remove immediately after drying. Iron on low if desired.

Where sleep meets science

Sleep and temperature are closely linked. It's one of the most interesting things scientists have found about how we rest.

Over the past few decades, researchers have discovered why sleeping cool is so important for us:

Your body must cool down to fall asleep and it must stay cool to stay asleep. As bedtime nears, your body clock kicks in. It tells the blood vessels in your hands and feet to open up. Warm blood then flows from your core out to your skin. If the heat can't escape to cool your body and brain down, you can't fall asleep.

Read the study

Because our bodies are actively trying to maintain a lower core temperature during the night, sleeping in an environment that is too hot strongly disrupts our sleep. Heat exposure has been shown to increase wakefulness and significantly decrease both Slow Wave Sleep (SWS, or deep sleep) and REM sleep.

Read the study

Some studies show that poor temperature control may cause certain types of insomnia.

These people also have trouble letting heat escape from their hands and feet. When tested, they cool down less than good sleepers. This keeps their core too warm for sleep.

Keeping you cool all night

Here are the three things our bamboo sheets do to keep you cool all the way to morning.

At a microscopic level, bamboo viscose fibers are filled with tiny micro-gaps and holes. Think of the fabric as having a built-in, passive air conditioning system.

Traditional fabrics (like polyester, cotton or linen) trap your radiating body heat, creating a "greenhouse effect" under the covers.

Bamboo's porous structure allows that trapped hot air to escape and fresh air to circulate.

For hot sleepers, the worst part of overheating is waking up feeling sticky and clammy. Bamboo is a powerhouse at moisture management, absorbing up to 40% more moisture than traditional cotton.

Instead of letting sweat sit on your skin or saturate the fabric, bamboo fibers pull the moisture away from your skin and allow it to evaporate rapidly. This actively supports your body’s natural cooling mechanism (evaporative cooling) rather than fighting against it.

Bamboo has high thermal conductivity. This means it efficiently transfers heat away from whatever is touching it. When you first slide into a bed with bamboo sheets, they feel noticeably chilly because they are drawing heat out of your body faster than other fabrics.

Frequently asked questions

Depends on what you're after. If you sleep hot, you want sheets at the light end — 100 to 130 GSM. They're crisp, airy, and don't trap heat against you. If you want sheets that feel heavy and warm (like flannel or thick linen), you'd go higher — 180 GSM and up. We picked 100 GSM on purpose. It's the lightest end of the range, so the cooling power of bamboo gets to do its full job.

Three reasons. Bamboo lets heat escape instead of trapping it under the covers. It pulls sweat off your skin instead of soaking it up like cotton. And because the fibers are long, fine, and naturally smooth, the sheets feel silky without needing to be heavy or densely woven. Cotton, polyester, and microfiber can't do all three at once.

We know how important it is to offer more sustainable bedding choices that are made without harmful chemicals or pesticides and that have a lower environmental impact. Our organic bedding collections are made of natural materials that are certified by third parties (think STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® ) to be free of toxins you never want to snuggle up next to. That’s why so much of our bedding range is crafted with organic materials.

Yes — bamboo viscose is naturally hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and gentle on sensitive skin.
